Looks: Everyday Casual

I love makeup but I haven’t been wearing much lately. Basically, I’ve just been too lazy to get up and do it before I go to work. Makeup makes me feel good, though, so I’ve been trying to wear more. At least when I really feel like it. This is a look that I’ve been doing lately because it’s easy, quick, and it’s a simple look. I work early morning shifts so I don’t really want to pull out all the dramatic stops for 6:00am.

Step One: Base
I haven’t really use foundation and concealer in a long time. I don’t like the way it sits on my skin, I don’t like the way it feels, and it takes far too long to apply it all in the morning. Recently, however, I got the Glossier Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer. So far, I am really liking it. It’s a really sheer foundation so don’t expect a lot of coverage from it. It feels more like a moisturizer and it helps to even out your skin tone but it doesn’t cover you. So it still looks like you, which I like. It allows my freckles and all the little things shine through.

Step Two: Lip Care
When I know that I’m going to be doing lipstick, I’ll throw a lip balm on while I’m doing the rest of my makeup so that my lips are prepped. I really like this lip mask from Laneige.

Step Three: Eyes
Once I get my base on, I move to my eyes. For everyday makeup, I like a simple matte brown buffed gently onto my lid and crease. I’ll take it down onto my bottom lash line and then use a lighter shade in my inner corners. I’ve been using this palette, the Burgundy Bar from Maybelline and I’ve circled the two shade that I used. I then use my favourite mascara, Better Than Sex from Too Faced

Step Four: Base 2.0
So the foundation is on, my eyes are done, and I move onto the extra base stuff. I put this bronzer from Too Faced on, just to warm up my skin a bit. Then I use this blush from Tarte and highlighter from Fenty.

Step Five: Lipstick
This is the fanciest lipstick that I have ever bought myself and it feels like such a treat every time I wear it. It is a beautiful nude and feels so good on my lips. It’s Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution in Pillowtalk and it is iconic.

Step Six: Finishing Touches
Today, I left my hair natural but spritzed a bit of Ouai’s Wave Spray and then finished it all off with Ouai perfume in Rue St Honore.

So that’s the final look! It’s simple and it feels good. What is some makeup that you have been loving recently?
