November has come and gone and December is knocking at the door.
I love December. I love the holidays. I love decorating the house, giving Christmas presents, watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music. I love everything about it and I am so looking forward to it this year.
Last month felt like a bit of a whirlwind for me. I don’t know about all of you but for me, November was insane. I spent the first few weeks cleaning and organizing and redecorating my apartment. My mom actually discovered that my apartment was not painted the same colour as the other apartments in my building. I’ve always hated the colour of my apartment – it’s very beige. Kind of like it used to be white but then someone spent 15 years smoking cigarettes. Anyway, I’ve always hated the colour and when I found out that the actual colour it should be is much more white, I wanted to paint. So I spent a fair amount of time this month painting.
The last week of November was actually a vacation for me. I just got back from Cancun the other day. A bunch of us went down for a wedding. It was magical and beautiful and special. It really was an awesome week of just relaxing as much as possible.
I love to travel and I love seeing new parts of the world. I also really love coming home. I am a 75 year old grandma in a 26 year old body. I love watching TV in my living room with a cup of tea and a cozy pair of slippers. I am a homebody.
So my goals for this month, is to enjoy home. For December, I want to focus on the little things that make me happy. I want to focus on making my home cozy, spending time with my family, and enjoying the peace.
What are you goals for December? What are the little things that make you happy?
